Fabric Collage 2 Part Workshop

Join us for a fun workshop where we will work with planning and preparing a fabric collage.  This workshop will be in two sessions and everyone will work on a pattern of their choice.  There are patterns specifically for the collage technique, or you can adapt any pattern or design of our own to the technique.  It is not necessary to have your pattern decided on prior to the first session, and we STORNGLY RECOMMEND, you wait until after we meet.

The first session of the workshop (Thursday, Nov. 15, 9:30am-11:30am) will cover how to choose or design a patter, fabric selection, and fabric preparation.  If you have a patter at home you think you might want to use please bring it to class.  If you are going to purchase a new pattern you might want to wait until after this session when we will go over the pros and cons of various patterns and sizes.  After we go over the details the instructor will take you through the store to find the perfect pattern and fabric selections.

In the second session (Thursday, Dec. 6, 9:30am-4:30pm) we will work on the construction of your collage.  It is helpful if you have your fabrics fused and a good amount of the fabrics cut out prior to this.  The goals are to be composing your collage no later than after lunch during this class so that you can have most of it done by the end of the day.

We will take a lunch break around noon during the second session.  Please feel free to bring a lunch, order something from one of the downtown restaurants, or take a break and go out for lunch.
