Cake Mix Recipes from Miss Rosie's Quilt Company --Vol 1-4 In the Shop, Vol 5-8 Arriving Soon

So what is a Cake Mix? It’s a 10″ x 10″ pad of triangle paper sized for using with Layer Cakes. There are 45 sheets in each pad – one for each piece of fabric in a Layer Cake plus a few extras for “testing”. Recipes? There are four different grids so there are currently four different recipes. Two of the recipes make two different sizes of half-triangle squares from the same paper, and the remaining two recipes make a single size half-triangle square on each sheet. Is that it? Nope. Each recipe pad includes at least four block options made with that recipe grid. There is also information on simple settings and layouts, and how big the quilts would be.

Two More Fabric Collage Workshops Coming Up! Melissa Grote, Instructor

Join Melissa for one of these two-part workshops to plan and prepare a fabric collage. Please call 355-0178 to register for the dates of your choice for the next class. Coming June 5th -- Tall Pines Class with Sandi Irish -- 10 am to 4 pm

The Tall Pines pattern uses the Quilted Jewel Templates designed by Sandi Irish from The Irish Chain. The template makes cutting the 60 degree angles easy and accurate. This pattern is easy enough for beginners but also will give more advanced quilters a chance to sharpen piecing skills, play with color and just have fun! Cost for the class is $35. JoAnn Hoffman Workshop -- June 24th 10 am-3 pm

We will be having another JoAnn Hoffman Workshop on Saturday, June 24th, 2017, from 10 am to 3 pm. The cost is $35 plus supplies. Come and spend the day with us as JoAnn Hoffman shares her tips and tricks. You can work on any of JoAnn's patterns. She will be here to help you. We will have kits for sale or you can bring one that you have started and just need some help. We are limiting the class number so JoAnn can give all students personal attention. Sewing Machines will not be needed.

Hunter's Star Quilt Class with Patti Heintz -- July 22 10 am to 4 pm

Patti Heintz, Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor, will be teaching a Hunter's Star Quilt Class for us using the Studio 180 pattern and the Rapid Fire Hunter's Star ruler. Mark your calendar for this fun event. We have the pattern and ruler in the shop now, as well as several others from Studio 180, so stop by and take a look. We also have a sample of Patti's work in the shop. Cost for the class is $35. From Anne, "I was introduced to this technique over a year ago and have just not pursued it so am very happy that Patti Heintz is a Certified Instructor and will be sharing her knowledge with us."
