Booking and Payment

Duration: 4 days and 3 nights

Capacity: 70 seats available

Cost: $195 plus tax per person

Payment Policy A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. The remaining balance of $145 is due in full at the time of registration (total registration fee: $195). Full payment is required up front to complete your registration.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• 60 days or more before the event start date: Full refund minus the $50 non-refundable deposit.
• 30–59 days before the event start date: 50% refund of the total paid amount minus the $50 non-refundable deposit (i.e., refund of up to $72.50).
• Less than 30 days before the event start date: No refund.

You may transfer your spot to another attendee or to a future retreat with prior approval from Quilt Connection, Etc. The $50 non-refundable deposit may also be transferred to another attendee or retreat under the same approval process.

In the event the retreat is canceled by the organizers, a full refund of all amounts paid will be provided.

Waiver Requirement

All participants must sign a waiver of liability before the event.

Elevate your quilting experience at our Needles & Peaks Quilt Retreat, located in the spacious Vista Ballroom of the Hyatt Place in Downtown Rapid City. Step outside and you’ll find yourself directly across from the renowned Quilt Connection Etc. - a quilter’s paradise boasting over 8,000 bolts of designer fabrics from around the world!

Sewing Space

Sew around the clock for 4 days!

Accommodates up to 54 quilters

Sewing Pods: Let us know if you have a group that would like to be seated together.

• Individual 6-foot workstations for each quilter
• Room to set up individual ironing/cutting stations next to your sewing machine.
• Ample electrical outlets for sewing machines, irons, lights, and other devices. 
• Separate lounge area with large windows providing natural light
• Multiple cutting tables with mats and basic rulers
• Several ironing stations with irons
• Design walls
• Water station
• High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the facility

Lodging: 

Enjoy your own King size room or share a double occupancy room with 2 queen beds with a friend.  Participants are required to book their accommodations through Hyatt Place.  Upon registration for the retreat, a booking link will be emailed to all attendees for easy reservation.  Please ensure to follow the link provided to secure your room.

Breakfast: 

Staying at the Hyatt? Wake up to a free Breakfast served every day at The Breakfast Bar in the hotel where you’ll find a wide variety of options from fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola, to eggs, hash browns, waffles and more. Or choose to walk to Tally’s Silver Spoon, Speed Goat Express Coffee Co. or The Sour Bakery, all across the street from the Hyatt.  

Lunch & Dinner: 

Savor convenience and flavor at the Hyatt Place’s The Placery, nestled in the lobby bar. Enjoy a curated selection of affordable, delectable dishes that cater to every palate.
