Feature in the art of renowned wildlife painter Chad Poppleton, Naturescapes, Home on the Range celebrates the resurgent of North American buffalo which numbered more than 60 million in the late 18th century though by the late 19th century, due to commercial hunting the numbers were reduced to 500. In recent years they have increased over 31,000 and have been removed from the endangered species list; this is truly a cause for celebration. Home on the Range features raoming buffalo in the running yardage block print, border stripe and all-over scenic. Complementing the focal prints are textures inspired by the surrounding landscape in a natural pallet of restful browns, greens, and blues.

Quilt Connection is located just 25 miles from Custer State Park in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota.  This 71,000-acre state park is home to over a thousand bison-one of the world's largest publicly owned bison herds.  Each fall you can see the annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup, held the last Friday every September.  To plan your trip to the Black Hills or learn more about the Buffalo Round up visit the Travel South Dakota website.
